Are your formulations biodegradable?

At NAOS, we are committed to ensuring that all of our formulations that come into contact with the environment (seas and oceans, as well as waste water) are biodegradable. As such, we perform biodegradability tests on products that are rinsed off (shower gels, shampoos) as well as skin care products. We use a standardised biodegradability testing method (OECD 301 B) developed for ingredients, but which we use for our formulations as there is no specific biodegradability test method for cosmetic products. Today, 100% of the formulas that we have tested are biodegradable. We will have tested all of our formulas by 2021.
